WATSU®

Starting from the year 1980, Watsu® has been confidently developing all over the world as a part of health improvement and relaxation programs. Today Watsu® has proven its powerful effect in over 40 countries and has become an inseparable part of SPA treatment, rehabilitation medicine and sport.

The unique Watsu® massage helps to relieve physical and emotional strain. It is performed in a swimming pool with very warm water (+33…+35°Ñ). As a result, the body defences are stimulated, the body is toned, blood circulation activated, inner energy circulation is improved, muscle tension (in the back and neck in particular) is relieved. Immediately after the massage, your general well-being improves, your mood and your fitness to work get better, fatigue disappears and is replaced with lightness, freshness and vigour. This massage is especially beneficial for those whose life is particularly stressful.

The receiver moves in a continuous flowing motion, while being properly supported at the warm water surface by the practitioner’s hands.

The session starts with the practitioner tuning into the client’s breath. Then slow movements begin, preparing the body for the next part, the gentle stretching of legs and arms, of the spine and the neck. During the session active movements are sometimes replaced with less intense ones. From time to time movements stop altogether to let you enjoy peace and silence, contributing to deep relaxation at every level.

Long-term effect after several sessions: improved sleep, digestion, immune resistance and self-healing processes; a considerable reduction of chronic pain; reduction in anxiety, stress level and emotional tension.
